Olivia V. Ambrogio is the SciComm Learning and Engagement Manager for NASA SCoPE. After getting a Ph.D. in biology she made a transition into science communication, and for over 13 years she has conducted science-communication workshops and webinars and developed online resources to support scientists in building dialogue and trust with others as well as sharing information about their research. As a scientist herself, she recognizes both the importance of sharing science in a way that’s meaningful to other audiences—and the difficulty in doing so. She is committed to making it easier for specialists and non-specialists to engage together around science, its value, and its connection to everyone.
